Matawan, NJ — This November, Spotlight Players invites you to experience The Guy Who Didn’t Like Musicals—a sci-fi horror comedy musical that’s truly out of this world! Directed by Christine deSimas, this campy, toe-tapping, B-movie-inspired show opens on November 8th, 2024 and runs through November 17th at First Presbyterian Church, Matawan.
About the Show
In the small town of Hatchetfield, ordinary guy Paul Matthews finds himself at the center of an alien invasion where the entire town is overtaken by a hive mind that turns people into singing and dancing zombies. As Paul tries to resist, he faces the ultimate dilemma—join the musical madness or be annihilated!

Local stars including Lamar Bronson (Paul), Izzy Perez (Emma), Frank Rosano (Bill), and Chuck Hamilton as Professor Hidgens. Expect stunning musical numbers like “The Guy Who Didn’t Like Musicals” and “Cup of Poisoned Coffee,” along with dazzling special effects and choreography!
